Client: Dance Marathon
Location: Seattle University
Challenge: Seattle University leaders encouraged SUDM to take part in their #SU125 anniversary campaign. As such, we choose January 25th (1/25) as the day of our Miracle Day. On January 25th, 2016 we held #1day25k, to fundraise $25,000 in just 24 hours.
Solution: Our committee acquired 12 partnered events, matching donors from corporate partners, and a campaign design that painted Seattle University blue and orange.
Process: I worked closely with the Seattle University Marketing Communications department to write a comprehensive marketing plan. The accompanying digital and print collateral derived its style from the #SU125 campaign aesthetic. I coordinated a campus take-over with the Special Events Committee Chair and 26 volunteers. We painted the campus with chalk, printed flyers, volunteer handouts, dance marathon flash mobs, video ads displayed on campus directories and food menu TV screens, and banners hanging in the student center.
Results: In total we fundraised $61,251.25 for Seattle Children’s Hospital in 24 hours!
